About the group
Provision of strategic direction for Registered Providers and other provider partners on the approach to delivering community safety and community cohesion in the neighbourhoods of Manchester.

  • influence policy by taking part in discussion and decision making
  • promote the sharing of data between partners to inform policy development to address issues of Community Safety and Community Cohesion
  • share and develop good practice amongst providers and develop a strategic approach to Community Safety and Community Cohesion
  • monitor progress and support activities in neighbourhoods that encourage Manchester residents to become involved in activities that promote Community Safety and Community Cohesion
  • develop, support and monitor programmes that will deliver Community Safety and Community Cohesion
  • report to the Community Cohesion Steering Group, the Strategic Housing Board and any other relevant agency.
